THE RANGONI & AFFINI AND IED PARTNERSHIP A study grant to challenge young designers with a car customisation project.
CADDY COLLECTION is the culmination of the intuition and creativity of Rangoni & Affini, a leader in the car and truck market in the provinces of Brescia, Verona and Mantua. The company has always supported young people’s training and the choice to entrust Caddy element of the MYWAY project to the creative flair of the young IED designers is a testament to this commitment.
During 2020, Rangoni commissioned IED to form multidisciplinary working groups among its students and alumni in order to develop three custom versions of a much loved, versatile and functional commercial vehicle. Through Caddy Collection, this model has now become beautiful and unique because it’s been enriched with an exclusive selection of aesthetics and functional detailing, which cannot be found elsewhere.

Nel corso del 2020 i creativi IED hanno lavorato ad alcune proposte di customizzazione e alla fine ne sono state scelte tre: Caddy Dolce 50’s, ispirato all’epoca del boom economico italiano e che mostra uno stile classico, molto elegante e raffinato, Caddy Adventure e Caddy Flow with Malibu. Il secondo modello è nato per accompagnare nei suoi viaggi un guidatore dinamico, sportivo e amante della natura.
Caddy FWM esprime invece un look più urbano, moderno e giovanile. Le tre personalizzazioni sono state studiate per comunicare tre modi di viaggiare, tre personalità: il veicolo diventa non più solo un mezzo di trasporto, ma un’espressione di sé stessi e a tal fine ogni dettaglio è stato creato per rispecchiare un tratto personale. Gli allestimenti di CADDY COLLECTION diventano un vero e proprio “abito” per il veicolo.

During 2020 the IED creative talents worked on a range of customisation ideas and three of these were finally chosen: Caddy Dolce 50's – inspired by the era which marked Italy’s economic boom and boasting very elegant and refined classic styling – Caddy Adventure, and Caddy Flow with Malibu. The second model was created to be a perfect travel companion for dynamic drivers who loves sport and nature.
And finally the Caddy FWM concept expresses a more urban, modern and youthful look. The three customisations have been designed to express three ways of travelling, three personalities: the vehicle is no longer just a means of transport, but an expression of the owner, and to this end every detail has been created to reflect a personal trait. The CADDY COLLECTION custom packages become an authentic “outfit” for your vehicle.
